Do you suggest BTA for first time anemone owner?
Best anemone for a beginner I would say. They require about half the PAR of other clown hosting anemones like H. magnifica. Mine has thrived between 175 and 225 PAR.

Only thing is they do not readily host ocellaris clowns. Sometimes people have success. I would generally suggest considering Clarkiis, Maroons, or even a Spotcinctus (A. bicinctus) like my own for better hosting possibility.

Great info thanks.
My daughter wants an anemone for her clowns, may get her a BTA at the frag swap in 6 weeks.

You know, it is so rare to see spotcinctus clowns. And all because of you! I would love to add a pair with a BTA but we already have perculas. I would just hate to see a problem. You think "oh, a 180 is big enough" then Bam! Heartbreak!
And I might try anyway...punch me in the nose please.

@Crabby48 told me I never show the PJ Cardinals and he is right. They tend to stay in the back making it difficult.

Today was Toby’s second birthday. We rescued him exactly one year ago and they said he was about one. Know nothing else about him, except his capacity for unconditional love.
