I have to say that I'm glad we started in an 8 gallon tank. It made me love the little guys that a lot of reefers overlook. I can't imagine having a tank without a tailspot now.

Diversity. You can have tanks concentrating on specific kinds of coral, or macro, or FOWLR, and different types of fish.

SPS and clams, thats what does it for me. Everything else revolved around them.

I must say that things not breaking is what makes saltwater reef aquariums awesome!

I can handle the day-to-day stuff, but when something breaks, It ruins the experience for me. So when the system is purring like a kitten, and I see the ecosystem in front of me, I'm at peace (as long as I ignore the algae and the invasive mushrooms).
