Yeah, at ~1/16 the regular price for an incredibly rare, hard to obtain (deepwater), "holy grail" fish, I'd assume that's a scam.

Buy it. Use PayPal for buyer protection. Ask for pictures of what you are buying. File case for item not as described if you do not get what’s in the picture

Holy grail is in the eye of the hobbyist. Deep water means special needs so not for most hobbyist. Collectors and exhibits. Nothing you don't already know though.

Would be entertaining to see who provided the quote. Not a trivial task to collect that one.

Sometimes people starting on line businesses offer very low prices when they first open to attract customers and get feedback so that folks know they are legit. If they move the entire store, at night, then they probably were scammers. Funky feedback, then don't do it.

That vendor didn't last long on Amazon and fact they wanted cash was telling.
