Hindsight is 20/20.

Added a 4 eye butterfly to my 65 gallon yesterday. I’ve had a small (about 1 & 1/2 inch) maroon clown and coral beauty angel in the tank for about a year now. I was most worried about the maroon clown because it seemed to be the aggressive one before… but now that I’ve added the butterfly, the coral beauty seems to chase it from time to time. Granted, they’ve only been together for about 18 hours now. It’s not constant, but sometimes I’ll see the angel randomly dart after the butterfly, but never touches it. Is this something that can/will pass or do I need to consider other options like trading?

I’m hoping it will pass because I love the little butterfly already!
Thanks guys!

It will get better and stop or worse and become a serious problem. Feed heavily and hope for the best.

Okay, I’ll try that. I’ve got frozen decapsulated baby brine, live brine, rotifers, and dried brine so I’ve been feeding a bit of a variety. My only concern is my clown over eating… do you think that will be an issue?

Feeding heavily may increase the importance of regular water changes but the fish are not going to be unhappy and fat, they will just grow faster ime.

I've had a snowflake clown and coral beauty living together for 3 years and the coral beauty decided to go rogue about a month back and is chasing the clown around everyday. Both their fins are starting to get tatered and the clown is looking pretty stressed out. I had a kole tang in quarentine for a month that I just added and it seems to have helped a little bit. I used to keep African cichlids and the trick was so keep lots of fish so just 1 fish doesn't get bullied
