Hey guys I got this fella for a $1 during black friday, and im curious if hes doing well. Hes one of the few corals I got as a beginner. Just curious if he looks well. Hes my favorite one in the tank. Im learning as I go with it.

Also; I am currently acclimating to a new light schedule, wondering if the twitching means he likes it where its at? Its only at 31% for 27 days left.

Thanks.

Looks fluffy, and happy
Hes been doing that twitch dance more frequently, I know its such a stupid question but im changing my light schedule and its only at 32% as it accilimates to 100% in the next 26 days. I changed it cause I felt like my corals werent growing much. You think I should stop the schedule if he looks good at this setting? I read they prefer dim lighting but im just overall new with corals

They really like low light. I wouldn’t let it go all the way to 100. Keep an eye on it as it goes up the next few days. I keep my light at 35 for softies and LPS and they are great. Maybe even too much for my acans. They are on the sanded, about 19in from my ai blade light

The lights should be suited for your whole tank, not to only one coral. Put it at the bottom somewhere in a low light area.

My merletti is at the bottom in the back, almost in the shadows, and its growing like crazy.

Hes on the lowest rock there but its only a biocube 32. I am upgrading to a 125g in another week or so when it arrives. I got a par meter ordered too so then ill be able to dial him in that tank better.

Thanks. I just got that in from SBB a couple weeks ago. It’s gotten real fluffy. I believe it’s a larger variety than the merletti. I want all of them
