How often do you visit your LFS?

Tell me, how often do you go to your local fish store? What are you typically looking for when you go? What draws you the most to one store over another? And how far are you willing to drive?

Extremely pre-mature market research.

For me, it's a few times a month, but that's simply because it's 2 hrs to a decent store for me. A good selection for both beginners and advanced hobbyists is important and the attitude of the staff is the single biggest thing for me.

It also makes a big difference when it's strictly an aquarium store, not a pet store. I didn't come here to buy ferrets. Lol.

I visit 2 , my lfs once a week and than every now and than I drive over 50 miles to visit my other favorite .....Stock is just so good that the drive is worth it ....Plus I get to hit the motorway and let my car do what it's built for .... High speed lol

I have 2 LFS i visit a couple times a month, depending on what I'm doing with my tank. One of them will take trades, so i take in some frog spwan or other frags i can take out of my tank every now and then.

I keep anything I can find a space for lol
Was mostly lps but have been slowly building up my sps .... Pretty much running out of space

For a while there, I was in at least one or two reef shops a week, always enjoying the creatures and the environment - but not able to buy enough, it seems . . . We've lost a lot of reef shops in this area. (6_6)

I'm probably once-to-a-few-times-a-month at the real reef shops (most about 45 mins to a couple of hours away), but I almost have to fight to keep myself out of the local Petco (five minutes away) in between-times.

At least once a week if not more. There were three in my area till one closed down, not including petco...so I guess still three.

Ones petco, ones a mom and pop style store that try, and one is a high end dealer.

I totally understand that! My wife and I tried to do this "allowance" thing at one point. We walked into a store together and after about 90 seconds of looking she says "this isn't gonna work, is it?" Haha.
