Yes, my daughter loves the end actually. Folds it in half for a half size sandwich and says it tastes better.
My daughter does the same. She's been doing it for YEARS i guess. I only noticed last week, lol!!!!

Haha. You don't want to know... :face-with-hand-over-mouth:
I saw this and started laughing like a maniac because *I* don’t want to know how much *I’ve* spent. I might calculate it some day and then I’ll have to buy my husband that crazy expensive car that he says he wants when he turns 40 early.

LOL, Fairness is important. As soon as my wife knew the cost of my set up she said I WANT A SALTWATER JACUZZI! I'll have to redo the deck with Trex, THEN put the jacuzzi on it but I tell ya.....I didn't hesitate. The answer is YES honey!!!!

And my retirement hot rod will be an 82 to 84 first generation Mazda Rx7. I want one SO bad. They are VERY quick!

I just got mine LOL you’re supposed to have it on your 40th and it takes time to find the right one and actually get it. I was only a little bit early

What does he want? Get it before he starts questioning your tank. Be proactive!

I raked up lots of points over the years because he’s a gamer and into collectibles… all the expensive collectibles that I just smiled and said “okay honey” to… his family would continually say “you’re so flexible, are you sure you’re okay with your house looking like a gaming/Star Wars shrine” and I just kept smiling. And then I discovered reef tanks…

Mustang GT, very specific year.

I am “softening” on my stance. If my company goes public this year I’ll make sure to pull the trigger on it. *Crossing fingers*. If not, we’ll shoot for another year.

LOL! I was lucky. I'm into antiques. But I've got SO much stuff from my grand-parents, my great-grandparents and a HUGE clock from my great-great grandparents. All free. My house is full of turn of the century stuff. To make it look extra good, I bought a used ugly green sectional couch to go with it!!! Still have it. Not for long tho. Getting new furniture in a few weeks!

Ohhhh sounds fun! Wish you the best!

Start tracking that specific one down now just in case the company goes public. Depending on year might be hard to find and take some time

My budget tank is only called budget because it’s the reason I can no longer stand to look at my budget sheet.

One thing that rings out in this thread is that we have lots of folks in the 40+ age bracket. I think when people say young people are interested in the hobby they should look at this thread and realize we just don’t have the discretionary income of our parents.

I stopped tracking.

This hobby far exceeded what I was expecting to spend — but here I am doing it.

The tanks alone were probably $6-$7k. The automation setups were easily another $5k.

And after that we can talk rock, livestock, corals… easily another $3-5k.

Last we can talk food, salt and chemicals.

This hobby ain’t for the frugal.
