7d mark II with a sigma 150-600mm contemporary lens
Nice setup! I got a Nikon 5600 alternate between 18-55mm and a 50-300mm. I'm considering selling it and upgrading to a Nikon z5 or z6, but I haven't decided yet.

if you're going to go mirrorless my take is go Sony. I still shoot nikon bodies professionally from time to time but ive transitioned over to Sony for 95% of my work. Sony user interface takes time to figure out but other than that I think they are like cheating when it comes to taking photos. the G master lenses are tack sharp and all the A7's and A9's AF are scary good.

Thanks for the info! I've always been curious about Sony cameras. I had a friend who took some amazing photos back in college, and he used a Sony.

well, the best for nature is either canon r3-r5, or the Nikon z8, Sony is pretty debatable in the nature community... its really good for street and all around though

but rmbr, 75% off everything on my site with the code 75R2R :D

why skimmer for this small of a tank?
Because it helps stabilize an unstable system. Small tanks are easier to overfeed; skimmers help offset this. Small tanks are easier to overstock; skimmers help offset this. Small tanks whisper to their keepers "just do a water change, everything will be fine...just do it...you know you want to do it" but solving nutrient issues with WCs involves nutrient levels seesawing up and down instead of trending evenly.

Everything happens faster in a smaller tank; skimmers help even out the bumps. Skimmers whisper to their keepers "don't worry, I got this....relax, I'll take care of this if you give me a little time...patience, patience...here's some soothing bubbling sounds to help you relax...relax...relax..."

Corals like stability. Skimmers help maintain stability. Corals like skimmers, regardless of the size of the tank. Give corals what they like. Corals are friends.

Update: monti dead, that was already concluded, frogspawn looking better, a bit better, no polyps have fallen, moved mushroom to the side, he was in a high flow zone(he moved himself) now he better, what the problem with the frogspawn is, maybe when I was doing maintance or something, snail hit it or something, a little side bone broke(the little plate things that stick up) its now hanging off the side, thats where the main area of badness(idk) is...
so, its healing, phosphate has lowered, and ye, all doing great :D(except hair algae and algae are taking over again :(. is that cuz of the reef roids maybe? well, I did 100% wc in the past week, in total. sooooo..................................)

Haven't read the whole thing but bottom line with a small nano tank lightly stocked you shouldn't be dosing a single thing. Just weekly 20% water changes that's it.

With the tank being quite young I’m don’t think you have gotten through the real ugly stage yet. Manual removal of that algae is you best bet right now. I like a tooth brush and tongs
