There is a needNo poll or I would choose other. All of my barebottom tanks are just the glass. I understand people wanting the protection but I've never seen the need for anything on the bottom. As to color it's all going to look the same in a year or so regardless of what color it is. At least mine do because I'm not cleaning the bottom.
Same SameI used black on my last tank, and I ended up adding a little bit of sand to the back side of the tank to dive it more depth, the black being non reflective just dulled it out.
