My purple stylo has only one branch bleaching. Rest of the coral is fine. It's my oldest sps and was on brink of death when I bought it. It survived has grown great for me. I have fragged it many times to dial its growth back. Here's a pick of the problem.

I cut the afflicted branch off. In people's experience does this stop this sort of thing. All my other corals are fine. My parameters seem to be in check and I just sent out my quarterly icp. Hopefully cutting off the bad peice will save it

Never anything quite like this. I’ve lost polyps on the underside before, but not clean all around. If the rest is healthy I’d just cut back the dead stuff. It’ll grow back pretty fast I’d think if the rest is happy.

I hope your right. Thought it was really strange just one branch was receding.

I’ve had that happen when the Stylo and an Acro got into a turf war. Stylo lost. Any chance a piece of another coral got carried by current into the Stylo?

there is nothing near this particular branch. That would make sense tho. Not sure what was happening. Cut affected branch and rest seems fine
