Has anyone ever seen a blue / green neptheidae with gold polyps?

I found this for a steal at a frag swap in Ohio. It’s not open yet in my tank and I forgot to snag a photo but it was blue with green blotches under heavy blues. The guy sold it to me said it would have golden polyps under more whites which you can kind of see here. I have a lot of whites in my preset during the first half of the day so I’m excited to see what this looks like tomorrow.

Any idea what coral this is? I’m guessing just a cool capnella. I forgot what the vendor said.

We use to have a huge colony of that in the display at the store I worked. Really popular seller, grows really fast, and looks cool.

Only caution like other capnella it can drop pieces that can become a little invasive.

Oh awesome! Would you mind sendind a photo here? Would love to see.

You sure it is a capnella? Would certainly make sense with the structure.

I does have the blue. That's actually not my photo. Sorry I'm not there anymore where I can get a photo under whites, but I agree it does look cooler under a more white spectrum.

I can’t believe people are out there buying and complaining about brown Kenya trees when there’s absolute stunners like these. Maybe they’re somewhat new to the hobby? Would be surprised if they are not seeing they grow and drop babies like normal capnellas.

I have this colorful capnella, when I got it it was the size of yours, now it is quite large and has many offspring. One of the offspring is above the main colony in my back glass and has golden polyps, whereas the polyps of my main capnella colony are brown. I think one of the causes of the golden polyps is the light intensity.

Or maybe the spectrum as well? Seems more noticeable in whiter lights as the vendor said. Also when it puffed up today it lost a lot of the green, so maybe its a size thing.
