I have a solo tomato clownfish in a 55 gallon saltwater aquarium.
He stayed juvenile sized for all the time that I have had him for about 2 years now.
He was previously with a few damsels that I removed and rehomed.
I have previously kept yellow coris wrasses in my tanks including with tomato clownfish.

However, I have never added the wrasse to the clownfish and am slightly concerned.
I also may go with one of the related species such as the iridis coris wrasse or green coris wrasse. Perhaps a silver bellied coris wrasse as well.

I have considered getting a pair of them but I am not sure how this is to work.

If anyone has any other tankmate suggestions to add to a singular tomato clownfish I would appreciate that as well.

First, the coris name is a misnomer for this genus. They are great wrasses. However, that tomato will likely become a huge bully if it isn’t already. I can’t make the decision for you but I would recommend returning/rehoming the tomato snd then build your list without any bullies. Especially in a 55. @i cant think @Slocke
