I'd cut back on the GFO and let your PO4 come up to 1ppm to 0.1ppm to 0.14ppm. Typically, 0.07ppm would be fine but you may have something interfering with your test and could be bottoming it out.

Edit: Or you could send out an ICP sample to verify you have what your test kit shows.
I tested my dkH late last night and it was higher than my last test by a bit, up .5. So I turned my dosing way down. I'm going to test today to see exactly where every thing else is. An ICP is on the agenda.

I agree with @Brew12 .. higher po4 is always welcome with LPS and phyllia. Especially when they appear to be struggling. The dKh could be adding to the sulking as well. And perhaps another thing to consider is the balance ratio between no3 and po4. Ur no3 has spiked, but ur gfo and rox never let the po4 come up to keep it in balance. I know u prefer ur nutrients lower, but it may be time to let them climb while u figure it all out.

Sorry to hear man. Hopefully the icp test yields an answer for u.

Water CHANGE. Dont make me drive up there tonight. I got my own husbandry to attend to! ;)

I got a Big Booty Nudi for mine
IMG_20191210_203316421.jpg
How the Nudi thing going.

I got 5, properly acclimated. Put into my sump section. All sealed off. No way for them to escape.
I have few rocks with Aptasia on them to feed them.
Been watching for just over a week. Nothing. All aptasia still there.
I can't see them.
I was hoping for Apatasia to start disappearing and nudi's to start breeding.
Waiting patiently.
Feel tempted to turn over all the rocks to see if they are around and alive.

Any tidbit you have on your nudi would be appreciated.
Do they come out? Any Aptasia gone? Anything. I spent like $80 with hope they would do something for me.

I don't know it the Nudis in my tank had any affect. I never saw them and I think I killed one by accident...

Yeah, I think I killed one when I tried to first add them. I used tweezers and it disintegrated (or lost it's feathers).
They are delicate as can be.
But the rest went in ok. I just found one out at night (just now), so they take time to do work.

They took about 3 weeks to really take off for me. I recieved eye droppers to suck them up and then squeeze them out onto the rocks with the flow off. If u have aips, and u acclimated properly, they will eventually mow that rock down squeaky clean.

I am losing my Euphyllia. Frog spawn is losing heads and I am down to only a few left of both. Lost my old Hammer about month and half ago also. New hammer is unaffected so far. Not sure what is causing this. NO3 is 50 but everything else is where it should be. No jelly that I can see, it looks like polyp bailout. I am at a loss as to what may be causing it.

I feed LRS Reef Frenzy daily, pellets 2x/day and ReefRoids weekly. They both get different flow and light and were fine up until a couple months ago.

NO3 - 50
PO4 - .07
dkH - 9.3
Ca - 430
Mg - 1440
pH - 8.0-8.2
Salinity - 1.025
It could be a combination of things, but they prefer nitrates at less than 10 (ideally anyway) and very low phosphate levels, but flow can be critical as well.

They need enough water movement, preferably in different directions, to move the polyps around but not so strong that the polyps remain retracted

It’s actually amazing the difference water movement can make to coral growth and health. I have a few corals, placed in the tank at the same time, but in different flows, and the ones in higher/medium flow are triple the size of others in low flow (I cant be bothered to move them! Lol)

I appreciate you can’t always move them, especially if there cemented down, been there, so sometimes it’s survival of the fittest

Just my thoughts anyway

I tested alk, no3 & no2 yesterday. Alk dropped a little even though I cut the dose by 1/3. NO3 looks to be under 50 but higher than 25 (the next color), NO2 was zero.

I wanted to test no2 to see if it was giving me false no3 readings, but zero is good.

I moved the lobo so I can move one of the frogspawns. I will do that later today. Hope moving the lobo won't be detrimental to it....

Gheez I didn't realize they were that tiny
The adults are about 1inch long and thinner than a pencil in circumference. Then juveniles are 1/2" or so. But they are very soft and slug-like. So they easily slide in and out of the dropper with water as the medium to cut any friction. They can grab on, but not so much that u cant dislodge them with enough flow.

I had a recent problem with my Euyphylia tank. Same kind of thing. Losing heads.

I blame it on starting GFO and spiking P down. So I just stopped GFO and reduced lighting, and slowly but surely every single LPS is coming back. Even one I took for dead.

I just drop them in and let them graze.
