Watching the spawning video again (in 4k) reminded of a question I had after watching the live stream. If you hadn't turned your light back on that night would you have known that the coral had spawned? Does it leave visible evidence behind the next day?

I would imagine it doesn’t leave any evidence other than maybe an overly active skimmer perhaps. Within 24hrs the egg/sperm bundles that I collected had broke down and at best you could see was the water in the bucket was a hair cloudier.

Honestly in person it’s easy to tell them apart.

I will say they all look identical to me.
