I bet y'all have some decent sized largemouth. They only grow when it's warm, which is why Texas and Mexico have some monsters. I'm actually trying to make the time to go rip some lips with my brother this evening!

Haha yeah, Buffalo Ridge is brutal on discs. Jagged rocks all over the place, and playing the course is a workout. However, the elevation makes it very interesting, plus there's one hole at the top where you drive down the hill/mountain. It makes you feel like an Olympic athlete throwing a disc off a cliff! It just saaaaaiiiiilllllssssss haha
I use the Beast so it'd probably go for miles!

This isn't me, it's my in-laws BUT we have some decent large mouth. Biggest problem we run into is the Stripers. THOSE get quite large.

GAME REMINDER
OCEAN HANGMAN

title gif.gif

There are lots of critters in the ocean, but I only need a handful for this game! I will post the name of a sea creature every hour at the top of the hour. However, some of the letters are missing. The first person to fill in the blanks gets a point. After ten rounds, the person with the most points wins a LIMITED EDITION ZOANTHIDS.COM 20TH ANNIVERSARY T-SHIRT!!!

In the event of a tie, the person that scored first wins. Good luck!

Eh I just don't have the speed to use those faster drivers. I throw maybe 200+ ft on a good day. It's frustrating because I've played with friends of the same build as me that can just effortlessly send it sailing. My technique is ok for aim, but I just can't drive like some of the guys out there. I mostly stick to slower, midrange drivers off the tee.

Yeah that would be intense to latch into a large striper when you're geared towards a 5-10 lbs largemouth! It's like when you go bay fishing for trout and a red lights you up. You know the second they get hooked that it ain't no trout!

We've got a whole assortment - I just prefer the Beast or the Ape. I actually had a seasoned disc golfer watch me throw once. He told me if I worked on my form some I'd have to use a slower driver... I've got the power, just not the form for those super long drives.

I think my largest large mouth has been about 7 pounds, biggest trout was maybe 18" but he doesn't count because I was fly fishing and he broke the tippet right as I got him to shore. Largest pike wasn't huge - 22". I haven't had a walleye yet because they're a couple hours drive away and we've only fished those lakes once. My father-in-law caught a baby 10" walleye.

We also have carp... But those are stupid and we only catch them on accident.

why laughing emoji?
Because it makes perfect sense except he didn't ask what he meant to ask. I think he was asking why you were fishing for bass in a trout lake.
