I don't have a big tank so I don't mix a lot of salt. First, I marked off my mixing bucket for each liter so I can easily measure out how many grams of salt when mixing.
I use a cheapy circulation pump to stir the salt, but the suction cup would never stay stuck on the bottom of the bucket. I grabbed some porcelain tile scraps, piece of 1/4in glass and made a wedge. Now I can suction cup the circ pump to it and it holds it at the bottom!
