Am I dealing with dino yet? I saw a gooey string coming off one of the mostly dead corals, put it under the scope:

Those are dinos: Ostreopsis ovata.
They are pretty present there.
Most probably after solving the green algae problem they can worsen.
After 21 days it would be interesting to use an oversized UV with flow slow enough for parasites, best option to remove those dinos, but not before because it will inactivate fluco.

I'm running a UV now - instructions only say to remove gfo, carbon, and skimmer.

UV needs to be turned off whenever you use medications, fluconazole included.
So do I have to re do it? The instructions didn't mention it at all.

Also, I still have all this gha present. But I still believe all my corals are dead/dying because of dino not the gha... Unless those two are connected somehow?

It happened before here: treating GHA and the dinos got better, so I think it is worth trying.
No need to re-dose, many people reported normal fluco effect with UV on, but it is just recommended to turn it off.
If it was on and Ostreopsis kept going, when you turn it on again check if it is really oversized and with slow flow…

My tank is 233g, the UV is 90w lifeguard. I have it setup as a closed loop in the DT. The intake is about 6" down from the surface. I have a varios pump on it.

Check your UV manual, you may find a table like this:

You want level 2 sterilization (the flow is usually pretty slow).

I believe 90w will do the job. Check if bulbs are ok. Remember to turn it on after fluco treatment…

Any help appreciated.

Yup ostreopsis.

Slap a UV on the side of the tank. 1 watt per 3 gallons. Very slow flow.
Dose sodium nitrate (Neonitro) and NeoPhos or equivalent to keep 10 and .1 respectively.
Baste dinos off the rocks frequently
Run some GAC to remove dino toxins.

So things are getting worse. Gha is growing. Dinos growing on top of the gha. I blow off the rocks daily now and more and more just keep coming back. I turned off my t5's today and lowered the intensity of my 360s. I'm not sure if that'll help or if I should keep the lighting going but man the dinos and gha seem to thrive off the light.

You also mentioned something about a 'reset'. I'm losing hope this thing will balance back out... What are the steps to a reset? Pull rock, soak in hydrogen peroxide, w rinse, place back in tank? What about the substrate?

Note, the attached pic is of about 50lbs of rocks... Covered.

I do not advocate reset…
Are you sure it is getting worse? Not GHA turning brown or whitish?
Are you dosing traces? Specially iron or iodine?

Old @Biff0rz has not caught a break. He's got an ample size UV to go after Ostreopsis and does not seem to be making any progress. Something is strange and doesn't add up. This is the easiest species to deal with. Yeah we have the complicating factor of excess GHA but still.

Biff can you somehow confirm that your bulb is firing? You bought the 90watt Promax, right? Brand new, right? That thing should be cooking these guys; I just don't get it.

Agree, with oversized UV and adequate flow Ostreopsis is nowadays the easiest to deal with… Maybe it will be easier when most of that GHA is gone…

Lifeguard pro 90w - yes brand new. It's definitely on, I can see on the ends that it's lit up. Bulb was new and have over 200 day left on it.
