Did you paint your aquarium anything but black?

I want to be able to control the "hue" of my tank background from dark to light blue!

I love the way @ReefStash has his set up like that. Here is his tank and maybe he will chime in here!

Thanks brotha! The background light is my fave part of the system. :) LED light strip with a frosted vinyl background. The light has a remote. I usually keep it on the alternating colors and it’s on a timer. When the main lights go off it follows suit 30 minutes later.

Between the background light and corner LED lights - this room and tank have a lot of different looks. This room is dedicated to the tank and some couches.

This is by far the coolest thing I have ever seen. Must know more! Just iron-on frosted vinyl of some sort and an LED strip? Can you elaborate a bit? I gotta do this!

I saw one aquarium somewhere with a light bright blue - made the tank look Caribbean and super clean ..

I know overtime most gets blocked, but does anyone paint colors besides black and how is it? I’m wondering if it’ll just constantly look dirty or annoying after awhile.

We can kind of see an inch behind the tank so I thought of leaving it open - but the overflow will likely be there so likely not.

I did a blue/green. It's really nice until the coralline starts growing and hides it. :beaming-face-with-smiling-eyes:

Thank you! I created a YouTube video showing exactly how to do this. There are links to the products used in the description of the video on YouTube:

Your tank lights are the most amazing EVER!! The back of my tank is painted black. I wonder if I could remove it and do what you did?

I wouldn't paint a tank at all. That's a pain in the butt to change, I would use vinyl that can always easily be changed.
