I’ve used nearly all of the pumps on the market... When I had the 6040’s I knew I wanted more Tunze in my life! Everything you read about Tunze IS true. Reliable, great flow, and excellent customer service! I’ve heard rumors that the 6095 impeller and guard work on the 6055’s so I may try that out at some point!

Twice in the last few weeks the water level in my return chamber has been super low. It’s times I’ve had to turn the Tunze ATO controller off and back on. I’m going to pull the sensor out this weekend to clean it, but I HIGHLY suspect the bubbling is the root cause!

Certainly could be. Why are you bubbling?

Just an attempt to keep crud suspended and get it down to my refugium!

I'm glad you decided to stay in the hobby with a more simple setup.

Easy is easy if you do easy right

Simple IS better! No doubt about that, in my opinion anyway!

I'm guessing it would be less effective if you had the airstone in your display? Just thinking of an alternative to messing with the ATO sensor.

Correct, if it were in the display they wouldn't be spread through the tank as well. I am going to clean the sensor this weekend and turn the scrubbing off.
