Loved the Tubze 6040’s I had earlier in the year. But felt I could use more. Random search on eBay and I scored the 6055 brand new for a great price! This replaced the RW-15!

I started the reefer 250 with a Varios6, a year or so after running the reef octopus I was part of the Neptune NSI program and tested the COR20. The Varios and COR were both solid pumps and I’d recommend both any day of the week. When I decided to go super simple a buddy ( billy.pipes ) sent me this jecod 4000 return pump. I’ve been running the DCP 4000 for half a year or so now. Like the Varios and COR I’ve had zero issues with the new jecod pump. It’s been a pure workhorse!

I also went from the Neptune AFS auto feeder to the eheim auto feeder. The AFSwas super easy to program through fusion, likewise the eheim auto feeder is SUPER easy to program and has been flawless!

Do those pellets actually make their way through the return? I have the same feeder it's been great so far.

Based on my experience with the Varios return pumps (which are awesome), it seems like the 6 would be overkill for the 250. What did u find?

They do, I use a coral feeder to clean the return section of debris from time to time and I rarely find many pellets left over. I also had the neptune AFS mounted in the same location for a year or more and its worked great!

The 6 is overkill for the reefer 250 plumbing for sure, like most others I would rather run the pump slower VS running it full speed. The major reason I picked this pump, I ran a manifold and I wanted the extra gph to make up for the extra plumbing!

Sold my Neptune apex many months ago... bought this smart WiFi surge protector and it’s been a solid investment! I can control it either through my phone or with voice commands through Alexa!
