My clam is usually doing really well in my tank. However, I just noticed there is Aiptasia on it this morning, and it's not opening very wide. But it still seems sensitive to light. Do I need to get rid of the Aiptasia? Does Aiptasia harm clam?

it will bother the clam, it hates having its mantle touched by anything, especially something that can sting like aptaisia.

I've never had to do that so I don't know how, others will know.

Gently use a turkey baster and blow some water on the aiptasia so it closes up or pulls in. Then take a generous portion of super glue gel and completely cover the aiptasia. Or, if it's isolated on a scute, simply break off the scute and throw it away. Breaking scutes doesn't harm the clam at all.

Take the clam out of the water and scrape the aiptasia off and place back in the tank. This takes about 2 mins. Know exact where the aiptasia is really needed because it will retract into the crevice. You are likely need a pointed toothpick or something to break the scutes.
