@cilyjr How much do you think the tank would sell for as is? It has one broken support that someone replaced with a glass support. Would it be worth it to take off the top trim/brace and euro brace it?
Good question. I'm not sure. When stuff is broken even small things price (IMO) goes down fast.

I'm not sure I would euro brace a tank that is notorious for having seam failures.

Getting that rim off will be a PITA anyways

Okay, that was one of my concerns. And I was only thinking about euro bracing it if I have to fully rebuild it. If it holds water I’ll probably leave it alone until it leaks. I did see one part on the bottom edge that looks a little off. It looks like a gap in the original black seal, if it is looks like I’m going to have to rebuild it :grimacing-face:. It also looks like cracking but I don’t think 1/2 glass would crack like that. It’s smooth on the front side back side I can’t tell because of silicone.

look like it took a hit on the glass/ plastic edge and it cause the glass to star instead of breaking...The pane is done, need to be replaced...it won't hold up to the pressure for long...

So I have one of these tanks as well. I resealed it, meaning I reduced it to 5 panes of separate glass and then put it back together. I saved it from going to the dump by my LFS due to, you guessed it! A broken seam seal. EVERYONE I have talked to that has one long term has had to reseal it. Just a word of caution.

Good afternoon. I have had a marineland front view for over 10 years. It started as a dyi very little automation I had a 500 gal skimmer until the sump sprung a leak 2 years ago. Revamp sump reduced the need for a large skimmer…. You only need a 300 gal one. Good luck….
