I've debated on driving down for that one. I did it a couple of years ago and it was fun. It was the one that Jason Fox actually spoke at. It is the drive that is killer. 45 is a nightmare to drive on with all the traffic and constant construction.

Honestly to bring something back from my childhood. And it’s the healthiest addiction I’ve ever had.

March of 2020 it begun with a 16 gal that was upgraded to a 75 by November lol

About ten years ago, I was bored and bought a biocube from drfosterandsmith and a pair of clownfish from petco. Then, I couldn’t go back.

QOTD ran a reef tank with my dad in the mid 90's. Had a pretty sweet porcupine puffer fish

Discovering the ocean as a kid and all its amazing life making up so many different ecosystems.

My wife in our first year of marriage loved the saltwater tank at the office where we worked. We got one and have been loving the hobby ever since... almost 18 years!

Watching my Uncle’s tank then getting a tank for my birthday after some hard begging

Started with a freshwater tank, loved the colors and variety of fish available in the saltwater hobby so switched over about 3 years ago then discovered corals!

I would have to say the hobby itself. Ex bought our son the tank and I had to set it up ‍... significant other was frustrated until he saw how beautiful things were.

Nemo got me into this hobby, but back then I did not know anything about saltwater so I purchase a clownfish and put it in my freshwater and next couple hours he wasn't moving and I thought he was just sleeping lol
