Now I have heard from people in the Industry that the gases that are used in the ATI bulbs are the same as those used in the Geisseman. Would anyone care to elaborate or contradict?

Mine too. Regular lid arrival fiesta for us!

You must live really close them! But yes, there are a few lids that had shipping labels generated yesterday but did not make the shipping deadline. Sounds like yours fell in that boat and you will have to wait just one more day for it.

On the bright side, at least you don't live in California and have to impatiently track your lid for 5 to 7 days ;-)

Sorry if this has already been answered. Are the frames made out of acrylic or some other type of plastic? I have an acrylic cover over my overflow box and I'm constantly having to flip it over due to warping. Has there been any issue with warping on this product?

This is a great and very important question. Our ClearView Lids are made from Polycarbonate (Lexan) plastic, not acrylic. Polycarbonate absorbs moisture far more readily than acrylic does. This allows a balance between sides so you don't see the warpage caused by humid/dry conditional differences.

Lexan is a good deal more expensive than acrylic, more difficult and time consuming to machine, and is SUPER impact resistant. Acrylic is 8-10 times more impact resistant than glass. Polycarbonate is about 200 times more impact resistant than glass. Even the small 1/8" thick tabs on the lids corners can survive an extreme beating which they will never see on your tank. We have beat lids against brick walls as hard as possible, tried to bend them in half, ran over them with a truck and even shot them with .22 and .38 caliber ammunition. They are VERY durable and built to last. If you do ever wear out the screen it is designed to be user serviceable and replaced when needed.

Let us know if you have any other questions!

Arrived this morning and looks great. If there was one thing I'd like to see a bit different, and this is a nit pick, is that the I would like the tabs to be a bit wider over the tank. If it's not centered, it can slip into the tank while when placing it on. Once on, it' great, but an extra 1/4" would probably make a big difference. Love it though. Money well spent and looks perfect on my Reefer XL 525!
