Some very nice cars!

Not quite a classic, but to me, a supercar. 2001 Honda S2000. I bought it stock with 47,500 miles 7 years ago. It now has 62,000 miles. I take it out on the weekend and date night with the wife when the weather is good enough to put the top down.

It was completely stock. Just this March, I took it to LHT Performance in Florida all the from my state of Michigan. I had it supercharged, new clutch, fuel pump, radiator and suspension system. What was stock 185-190 hp at the wheels is now 388 HP at the wheels. I'm still getting used to it.

This is the video LHT made of the upgrade.

@Bossman - I wish I would have bought an s2000 years ago. Good clean examples are just going to go up in value, and bring a Honda high mileage don’t really matter as long as they are well taken care of. A true drivable collectors car.

Thanks, I really love the car. I've had a trans-am, mustang, Ford Lightning SVO and they were fun cars. But none of them drive like the s2000. I am not a track guy, but I can still appreciate the way the can handles and drives. The early AP1 S2000 has a 9,000 RPM redline. It sounds sooo good at 9 grand.

I think the S2000 will for sure be a true collectors car, I always wanted one growing up.
Are those G-force tires? Certainly a sweet build.

Possibly getting a fuel injected Big Block after I get it back from the body shop.

Have any more details on the powertrain you are considering?

Nice build, I haven’t seen many cars with rotrex superchargers.

I like classics but have never had one. Closest I’ve come is a couple Fox body 5.0 Mustang coupes, I guess they are classics now but not when I had them!

Current toy is a twin turbo LS3 Camaro, made just over 600rwhp around 7 psi.

I was eyeing this Big Block on eBay. But I’m considering Nelson’s racing engines which is kind of local to me. I figure with that size car you’d need a good 700HP+ just to really get it going.

Thanks! The tires are Bridgestone RE71R. I went a little bigger then stock and ended up having to roll the rear fenders to stop tire rub. They grip really good. Also pick up a lot of stones they're so sticky.

i'm hooked on the Motor Trend channel. I can watch all types of builds, My first car was a '67 Mustang. I remember learning how to tune the points and condensors. I did the power steering and brake lines and had it sent to for headers and exhaust and Crager wheel ( the stuff we did to those, cars, if we only left them alone). Had it painted snow white.

If I ever get the time and chance, I'd love to get my hands on another.

My '92 Ford XLT was an absolute steal and fun to drive. You had to get out and lock the front wheels fro 4 wheel drive, . I had my 2002 Tahoe for 16 years before reluctantly saying good bye to her. She was my favorite ride, Simple but reliable engineering.

Great thread.

Ooooh, oooh, I love this thread. I drove a 70 Chevelle in high school. Upgraded from the 355/th400 to a 5speed and 12 bolt posi w/3:73. Wore out the built 355 got a 454/th400 as trade and move the whole upgraded suspension over to a rust free 70 elcamino, upgraded to a ported intake and 2" ******* with 850holley dp off my jet boat. Did massive burnouts in front of the sheriff's house for a year and road/drag raced. Wore it out too. All the while building Chevelle's for others. Then moved on to a body shop doing full on resto's for 8 years. Built many Barrett Jackson cars. Many Camaros, and a ton of mopars. Then my health took a dive and have not been able to build my elky since. Still sits under an awning. Should be a 500+ horse 383 when I'm done. Have the block, crank, heads. Block I polished for drains and tapped for plugs. Going hyd roller, no boost. AFR heads, older new scat 4340 lightened and knife edged crank with 4340 6" rods. Built a custom 8 quart pan with baffles. ****** 1 3/4 tuned headers. I also pieced together a cast iron super t10 although I may just go t56 since I don't want to be limited to smoking mustangs and vettes stop light to stop light. Using sc&c front suspension.
