Was she able to bury? I agree, the new video does show she's having a buoyancy problem. I had a femininus delivered that was swimming that same way with her head down. She didn't get as bad as Tamberav's wrasse did so after about a week of feeding her brine shrimp like the others suggested her swimming corrected. Then I switched her to mysis and LRS fish frenzy to pack some weight back on her. I got lucky with mine I hope yours pulls through too.

Now that your melanurus has zeroed in on her in her weakened state I don't think she'll make it unless you can try to separate her from him.

The melanarus wrasse only gave her a hard time for a minute and she is now leaving the fish alone and the China wrasse is swimming and then falling back to the ground and laying on its side

Good to hear it was one and done. IMO, this wrasse had issues going on before you got her. She‘s thin and has a buoyancy issue, and sounds like she’s getting worse. Hopefully Jay can offer some advice to try to salvage the situation.

If I bury her in the sand myself, would that help her destress or would she just come back out agian. She’s lying on the floor agian so I think I would be able to gently mauver her

If you try to bury her you're going to stress her even more than she is so it's best to leave her be. I saw you have another thread going about your dusky fairy wrasse. Is that wrasse new too?

No that wrasse has been in the tank for 3-4 weeks

It doesn’t look good for her. I don’t think she’s gonna make it through the day.

If it is falling to the sand and laying on its side, it does NOT have a positive buoyancy issue (it would float in that case). Most fish are slightly negatively buoyant, so in a weakened state, they will sink.

Unfortunately I just checked on the tank and she has passed. Thank you for all of your help with this situation and my dusky fairy wrasse as well.
