We now have more cherry charms, but the rdpe is still the same. The polyp is still very small. I just started to do vit c dosing and already seeing a difference. Hopefully it will help the rdpe. I feel like this thing is never gonna grow

I picked up a Frag from my LFS that looks very similar to the rdpe pics you have posted, you can take a look at it in one of my recent threads...if it looks like a suitable replacement, and if you need it, I will send a frag with the rest of your growout frags from our growout. It will not be from any originator but I'll be giving it to you guys for free...

Guys this sucks really bad. We have basically lost everything in the grow out except the cherry charms. The rdpe looked like it was making a comeback and then suddenly closed one day and melted. After what happened to the tank everything just did not make it. I am so so sorry. I will at some point try to make a pack up for you guys so at least you get something. I wish i could get another rdpe

Wow...

What happened with the tank? I didn't realize there were such issues or I would have taken them myself so we didn't lose them...did I miss something? Can we get a better explanation as to what happened and what you did to try to resolve the issues? I don't see anything in this thread that mentions any issues since 8/27 and I don't see any recent posts from you looking for advice on any kind of issues.

Just trying to get an idea of what happened here since we all spent money on this and there were no recent indications of any problems.

at the beginning there were no issues and everything was growing well. All of a sudden my tank got really bad which i think was a bacterial infection. I did update you guys on that. I spent night and day trying to save the polyps by doing water changes and such. Also made sure there was no predators and such. During this time i lost alot of frags, but luckily the rdpe did not completely die. Tank started to get better and rdpe looked as if it was making a comeback. All of a sudden it just melted . That is the only thing that has died since the big tank problem. I never shipped it because i did not want to stress it out more. Sorry to upset you, but like everybody else agrees these things happen. I dont know what else to say. Except im po'd that alot of my stuff died.

Better, more consistent communication with the group and photos would have been appreciated. Like I said there was no mention of an continuing issue for nearly two months and then all of a sudden everything is gone. I should mention that you posted a picture on 9/27 and there is absolutely no mention of any issues after that picture was taken which is the reason I am frustrated, you even posted 10/13 that the Cherry Charms were growing. I'm sure any one of us would have taken the chance shipping it if we knew there was still a "bacterial infection" or whatever it was that was affecting your tank. Personally, if I were running this growout (and I am running another) and I had an issue with my tank I would be providing regular updates on my tank and the issue.
