Is this growth or is it just happier?

I've had this Elegance for 4 months. It's my favorite piece and the one I fuss over the most. The 1st Pic is the day I got it and the 2nd is 4 months later (today). The color is better now and the tentacles are longer but is that because it's happier or are they growing. There are 2 new growth/spikey things coming off the skeleton base so I think those are new polyps but I always see the actual coral as much bigger than mine. Any pointers?

"Happy" corals are almost always growing, but the rate of growth of the skeleton is what i would use as a metric with LPS.

Thanks! I have had minor success with my LPS vs my SPS. My SPS are all growing like crazy and LPS doesn't seem to be growing as much. I'm always trying to balance out the flow to make everyone happy.
