Can’t figure this one out…

Had these guys in here for 2+ weeks. I cannot find anything to identify what it is. it looks infused to the stem and it just started extending out recently.

Anyone able to I.D. and suggest what I need to do about it?

if nothing else, I’m going to give it another dipx.

I don't know what it is, but it looks cool... I wouldn't risk killing it with a dip.
Maybe examine it more closely outside the tank?

Think he is talking about the red thing attached to Stony part of coral wrapping up and behind not coral itself. I may be wrong tho.

I agree with this - if you can move it safely into some tank water outside the tank for some closer up pics under white lighting, that may help with an ID, but, either way, it doesn’t look like a pest/problem (or at least not a common one) from what I can see.

Oh no - I thought the red was a line pointing to something LOL. It looks like a macroalgae known as red Bamboo ( Solieria spp.)

The way the portion of it on the right is growing, it looks like a sponge spreading further down onto the coral's stalk. I'm not sure if the red bamboo macro would grow that way or not (I don't know much about macro at this point). That said, I'd guess either a red sponge (possibly a tree/finger sponge, but it may be too early on to tell for sure) or the red bamboo macro would be what you've got there.

Either option would likely be harmless/beneficial and fairly ornamental (I say likely in case the sponge turns invasive, but the odds of that seem low to me given the style of growth on the left).
