I have a blank wall above my tank that is asking for some art. Without detracting too much from the tank, and considering it is in our main living room, any suggestions? What do others have here?

Ya those are awesome! I want some for my basement fish cave. For above the tank I’m looking for something a bit more conservative that will blend with the home decor of a family room better. That would match the decor of my college apartment better than my current homeI've seen many people on here have paintings of fish above their tanks or those neon wood cutouts above their tanks. Here is one I got last year from ReefAPalooza
Haha, that is understandable. I'll link you to this thread; it has some ideas that might work for you! https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/reef-décor-do-you-decorate-the-space-around-your-aquarium.989246/Ya those are awesome! If it were me, I'd probably put a shelf so I can pile things up for easy accessI have a blank wall above my tank that is asking for some art. Without detracting too much from the tank, and considering it is in our main living room, any suggestions? What do others have here?
Great minds think alike... was just going to say the same thing, although maybe a more decorative themeIf it were me, I'd probably put a shelf so I can pile things up for easy access
Is that a vintage Finnex light??I have a blank wall above my tank that is asking for some art. Without detracting too much from the tank, and considering it is in our main living room, any suggestions? What do others have here?
Ha, almost! It is the closest replacement I could find a few years ago for my original finnex fixture that lived out its life. Some Chinese brand I found that fit double-ended halide and T5 bulbs. But I switched the ballasts out for Icecaps (MH) and Samsung (T5).Is that a vintage Finnex light??
A nice seaside landscape may work. Although my wife and personal decorator would say what ever you choose should complement, not contradict, the decor in the rest of the room and it does not need to be Marine related.I have a blank wall above my tank that is asking for some art. I was actually contemplating hanging one of my deer mounts there, but my wife is not a fan…Big taxidermy of marlin or something if you’re into that. Requires catching the fish first tho!
My wife AND daughter would flay me alive if I did that!! But I would still have the nod. I do interior decorating and my wife has complete control over the exterior.I was actually contemplating hanging one of my deer mounts there, but my wife is not a fan…
