Oh man that's rough. Sounds like it would have been amazing.Just before Covid hit, I had it lined up with someone who did Stage Sets. We were going to do a Poop deck, with Captain Quarters, sunken, burned ship theme. Unfortunately he died from Covid, after taking a job at a grocery store. The Ink blue paint was the background for that.
My last 90g tank was in the Dining Room! I got to make the call tho, as I am in charge of the kitchen at my place! Now that I know the rules I can give you a perfect idea that will surely work for you; Ask her.She runs the Kitchen.
I am hoping whatever I do in the end is not viewed as worse than the blank wall we have now lolMy last 90g tank was in the Dining Room! I got to make the call tho, as I am in charge of the kitchen at my place!
Oh no.....It's gonna look great. I replaced out a small 70 year old drop down desk and a plant with my tank. The only complaint I got was the skimmer smell while eating at the dinner table 2 feet away! I fixed that with running carbon in the tank itself (extra credit given) and creating an air tight seal between the skimmer cup and the Skimmate Overflow Tupperware Thing (A Redneck McGyver job if I ever did see one!). She had a very real concern with that. No one wants to smell skimmate while eating. Ewww.
I've lived by an acronym for going on 40 years: NPOTOL. Never *-Off The Old Lady. And I KNOW! -- Never use the old part! Unfortunately, I had to learn that the hard way. My rule broke my rule!My tank will also be 2 feet from the table. Good advice!
