Hey guys as I'm sure you're aware I've gotten my tank up and running but it's still very basic and slow going which we all know in this business is not a bad thing. So better late than never but here are some pics and info to show my progress. All opinions and tips are welcome and much appreciated. This app has turned into such a life saver and probably my number one resource for info and equipment. Thank you all in advance and I hope you enjoy.

Front face of tank with my damsel visible. About 10 or so pound live rock. Some old dead coral skeletons for beautification and rock props. Mixture of Caribbean live sand and more course black live sand.

My first and only coral. Anyone who can identify would be helping me out.

Canister filter setup with skimmer visible. Reef octo 100 hob classic. Any tips on how often I should clean the filter?

Hey man! Looking good! Just make sure that no splash gets to the guts of that light!

Also your frag is a favia! Looks to be the common "seasons gretings" or "christmas" favia. Pretty easy to keep and hardy as well.

Also id clean the canister every time it crossed my mind to avoid the common issues associated with them.

Not a big deal but every little thing I take notice of. Starting to get some algae and bacteria growth on my recycled rock. Tanks in good health. Will be looking to add some more rock soon maybe a star to sift some sand for me.

Relocate my favia higher on the base rock in direct path of flow. Glued her down and I noticed she already has signs of new growth. Excited my little tank is in good health.
