No the lid is not air tight. In the pic you can see how I have it plumbed. I am running two canisters for the scrubber so when one media runs out I don’t see a drop in ph before I have a chance to change it.

I just hooked up an old BRS dual canister about two hours ago. Didn't see any decrease in airflow either. Got busy doing other stuff and just now thought to check the PH reading. It went from 7.6 to 8.1. I usually run between 7.7-8.0 throughout the day. Guess now I better keep an eye on my alk / cal consumption!

Sorry for so many post today but while I am trying to get some help with my last few unknown pieces. These other two are the last two I have no idea what their names are either. They came from that same pack listed above. Anyone got a clue?

That's a wonderful compliment!

Color looks very similar! Does the Jimmy have long branches?

The first one seems so close to Original Wet Thumbs Tierra Del Fuego. I had seen it in person in a friend's tank years back and it looked pretty similar . I know many people have lots of tierra del fuego for sale but not many matches the original . If Ed is still around he can help as he has the most authentic WT del fuego ... @Big E you there ? Does it look tierra del fuego variant to you ?

Regards,
Abhishek

I think you're right on this one. I got the WT TDF from Ed as well and it looks very similar with those elongated corallites

Today will be an odd pic. I didn't even know it was possible for zoas to grow onto something like this.

Zoas growing on the side of my Sea Cucumber.

LOL, thanks for sharing that awesome picture!

If you did it all over again would you add the co2 scrubber again? Do you see a big benefit? How long is the media last you?

I’ve been considering a scrubber but I feel like it may add too much cost/work for the benefits

If my ph is low I will always run one now. I had low ph for most of my tanks life and corals grew but not at the rate they are now, there is a noticeable difference. Unless my tank magically matured enough the same time I raised ph but I will credit ph.

The media I use now is lasting a while (I posted a pic of the media a week or two ago). I would say $10 a month in media is what I am using. When I tried it before and just had the hose sucking from outside air into the media I was going through $30 a month in media.

Keep in mind my ph was extremely low, 7.65 at the lowest. If you are only raising it .1 you might not see much of a difference.

Awesome tank, and photography skills.

You probably already answered this and I forgot, are you still using the T5. If so what bulb combo are you using with it.

How long is a canister of media lasting you before you have to change it now? A week? You run 2 canisters of media?
I would say 2 weeks for one canister. I let the media in the second canister turn a little purple before I swap it over and refill it.

Thank you!
On two tanks I use t5's and 2 sb reef bars and on the other tank I use radion and t5 combo. I am using 4 blue+, 3 coral+ and one actinic. The bulb combo you choose doesn't matter much. I'd go with a combo depending on how blue you want your tank to look.

The radion tank is the ab+ program with 2 blue+ and two actinic+.

With cost not being a factor. I would use two canisters like I am doing so you are not yo-yoing your ph when the media runs out. If it's possible for you, connect a hose to the top of your skimmer to recirculate already scrubbed air going back into the media so it last longer. Only do this if you have a way for the skimmer to turn off if it overflows or you have your skimmer waste draining to a bucket. Other than those two, I think it's really easy to do. Check your alk everyday or so after you start scrubbing!
