Hey @bubbaque ! I know i saw it in one of your pages a while ago, but any updates on you BC Bellicose Trobairitz? Was wondering what PAR you have it under now if you changed/kept it in the same spot since you said a while ago it was really a slow grower. Thanks!
I don't think it's a slow grower as others said they have it and it grows fast for them. I think it was my lack of feeding it that stunted it's growth. This is it now followed by the new frag I got of it.

So the extra feeding/fish poop helped a lot? I hope you keep that one snipers coral away from that tank lol and let me have a shot at this growout contest.
Also did you get a 2nd frag of it to see differences with different PAR levels? Just curious...

Yes the extra food helped. It might not make a difference if you have moderate amount of nutrients but mine were very low.

I only have the one frag of the snipers. I feed the frag tanks the same as the display now so hopefully it does just as well. There better people than me in the contest, so I hope I have a shot as well. I also put that frag in my newly setup "radion tank" and I'm not sure how well everything grows yet.

I wonder if WWC feeds while the shop is closed? Do they have auto setup? Just curious, you may not know for sure.

Looking great @bubbaque ! When your stuff all grows out you may have to open for public viewing! :) Appreciate all the info you give on your setups and regimen!

Thanks!
I try to post accurate pics but the videos just show it so much better. I don't do any video editing so it's pretty much what you see is what they look like.

I will probably do pics with an occasional video for now on. I'll probably slow down from the daily uploads that I've been doing as I feel it's making it hard for people to keep up with the thread as it's growing so fast.
I mean your pictures are amazing as well man! I happily look at them for ages but I do love watching the corals are really seeing the PE! They're both excellent representations.

haha maybe once a week with a few pics and a short video?? :) That would work well and give people time to stop drooling between uploads :p

Super heavy input and and super heavy export is really the key to a reef tank :) The more food, nutrients and goodies you can put into the water the better your corals will do :) this may include some amino's and vitamins as well and some coral foods (which I'm a big fan of now lol) but that's the easy part lol the real key is to be able to remove most of it that isn't used before it does any fouling in the water! That's a real key I think :)

A couple more I got from Adam.

I was always curious if the Hyperberry glowed like it does in his pic. I can confirm it does! Whether it stays this way who knows. I am also glad to finally get the Gilligan from him.

Nice, that Gilligan looks yummy.

Btw, quick question, how do you attach the SB reef bars to an ATI fixture? Do you have to screw it into the housing?

Also, has the look of the lighting from the fixture changed now that the violet leds have burned through the covers?(if I remember correctly). Are the violet leds themselves still working properly?

Thanks.

That Hyperberry color is nice. I had this before my crash and it is really bright green and pink.

I do find that Adam is really good at coloring up his corals and they are typically lighter/brighter than I can achieve. I’m referring to both his pictures (which really do a great job of capturing true colors) and the condition of his frags when they arrive vs what they look like after a few months in my tank.

You have to remove one screw and the brackets on the reef bar goes where that screw was. It’s pretty easy to install but I wish the aluminum was thicker on the ati fixture as I worry it might just pull the screw out. I haven’t had any issues but it’s a concern.

The violet leds are still working great but yes they will burn the splash shield and may reduce how much violet light shines through. I completely removed the splash shield to avoid this issue.

I ordered some 4 inch marble hexagon tiles do you think that'll work
I would imagine so as long as it’s all natural. I didn’t want any glaze or sealant as I wasn’t sure if it would do anything.
