The one in that pic is under an ati t5 fixture.

Are your colors more faded? I started to grow out a second colony under the same lights you are using but it seemed to be too much light as that colony doesn’t have near the color as the one in my display has.
Yes the red is very muted. Her'e a pic from last month. It's grown well and encrusted nicely, but colors are not impressive.

Its hard to say. I think yours looks different than both of mine. Maybe with time as it gets larger the color will come.

Bubba, are you still happy with the SB Reef Bar?
I am still happy with them. I’d just be prepared to take the acrylic shield off or drill holes where the uv LEDs are. If you don’t it will burn them.

Did you remove the shield? Mine will be 9” off the water and shouldn’t get much splashing. I appreciate the feedback.

Also, how many of the UV bulbs does it have?

No the shield is still on it. I have a tang that constantly splashes water. Careful removing the shield because I have a frag tank and the lights are 20” off the water and water still gets on the shield some how.

The growth pattern on this one is really nice. I find the little nubs continued throughout while it tables pretty neat.

This is a nice growth pattern on this, looks like anthersis (spelling), really natural looking! Love it.

Bubba your colonies are looking great as usual! Can’t wait to get mine up and running !!!
Yours is going to be pretty great! I am pretty jealous of your built in drain. Pretty clever to think of it while building your home.

So I'm reading the discussion around JF Jolt possibly being the same coral as the Rainbow Fusion and it got me thinking about others that possibly could be the same, or look very similar. Since you probably have all of these, can you weigh in on whether or not these are the same, and if not, which would you prefer and why? It's hard to find pics side by side under the same lighting conditions.

BC Hyperberry vs BC Kenberry
BC Secale vs Garf Bonsai
Bubblebath Unicorn vs Rainbow Loom vs Paletta Pink Tip
ASD Rainbow Milli vs RMF Acid Trip vs Schizopolis Sunset

I have the jolt and I had/killed a rainbow fusion. They look completely different to me, but my jolt is only 3 months old.

If I had to put a guess on it
1.BC Hyperberry vs BC Kenberry
2 variations of a short cake. Most likely not the exact same because they are both sold by BC.
2. BC Secale vs Garf Bonsai. I think they are both variations of a bonsai. Maybe slight color differences.
3. Bubblebath Unicorn vs Rainbow Loom vs Paletta Pink Tip. These are not
The same. All 3 are different but the bubble bath and pirates reef fruity pebbles are the same coral.
4. ASD Rainbow Milli vs RMF Acid Trip vs Schizopolis Sunset. The sunset is a different coral than the first 2 but I believe the Jason Fox solar flare is the same as the first 2

I have all of these but they are not all equal size so maybe they will look different as they grow.

1.The hyperberry and Kenberry look very similar so far in my tank. I think I made a post somewhere about how similar they look but the Kenberry is still very small.

2.The secale and the bonsai look the same but I think it comes down to lineage. I am not sure how many have the true Garf bonsai anymore. If you are just looking for that color combination then just go with whatever is cheapest.

3.BBU, Rainbow loom and Paletta pink tip all look very different from each other. The BBU is top of my list of favorite corals. I keep buying more and more of it even though I already have a couple of them.

4. This one is kinda tough. I use to say the Acid trip and ASD Rainbow were different but I am not sure anymore. I use to think the Acid trip was much brighter than asd rainbow and would have bright yellow tips but now my ASD rainbow is probably the brightest coral I own and has yellow tips as well. The Schizopolis sunset is different and is basically just green and orange.
