I've managed to get a script, will be enough to treat my soft coral tank and frag tank to prove the concept (with our local version of Fluconazole which should be the same) before stockpiling up for my main display tank.

On a side note, any plans for Vibrant to be made available in Australia? That sounds awfully handy too

We'll have to ask @UWC if there are any plans for Australian Vibrant suppliers.

so I started my treatment today, something maybe to think about, I noticed a lot of bryopsis in my overflow growing at the water line so I raised the level in my overflows to completely submerge the old water line, don't want any survivors

What's the longest time this has been tried? Think I read 4 months ago? No fallout on anything else? I'm a little guy shy still, have about 125 different types of acros right now

I believe 4 months is the longest that we know of. I've got plenty of acros myself and I wasn't going to wait until Bryopsis covered and smothered them out before doing something about it.

I hope everyone is also going to @Sabellafella 's thread and giving him a shout out/props!
Didn't know that there was another thread on fluconazole and bryopsis going right now but I'll definitely keep up with that one as well.
Patiently waiting to start seeing the amazing results others have been having.
Thanks for the heads up on the other thread as well.

Got my meds in the mail today. Gonna dose either fri. or sat. I think I will remove gac and pull skimmer cup. Leave lights the same. 40b plus sump, I think I'll try four capsules. Question, what about dosing cal, alk, mg is that the same? Thanks NCreefguy and SabellaFella for starting these threads!

I'm not sure about others but I've continued dosing alk, calc and magnesium to keep things stable as far as those water parameters. I've also continued my regular daily feedings in both tanks as well.

It is kill cheato too? Do I need to remove it?
I'll let you know if it affects chaeto or not as the treatment in my tanks moves along. So far this afternoon I will be coming up on 48 hours and my chaeto appears to be doing fine at the moment. Still in the beginning stages of treatment though.

Some people have continued their regular scheduled dosing and daily routines without it affecting the treatment at all. Some even ran their carbon and it still worked. About the only thing that I haven't seen is someone performing WC during the treatment but I'm sure someone will try that too sooner or later.

Do you think manual removal of the bryopsis would speed up the process? Even tho is not needed.

Probably, mine has disappeared so rapidly because as it has been dying my Astrea snails and lettuce nudibranchs have been eating it. I woke up this morning to a 99% bryopsis free tank. It is only a matter of time now.

I wouldn't break your back pulling the stuff out, but it will likely help some.

Yeah probably so. I just wanted to document the entire process of this treatment from start to finish so I didn't remove any of the Bryopsis by hand.

Personally I wouldn't. I admittedly don't know much about the biology of bryopsis, but I imagine that it has some kind of transport mechanism between cells. Keeping the main body in the tank may assist with transporting the fluco to the roots, ensuring that the whole body is eradicated.

As I said, though, I don't know much about the biology of bryopsis, so I don't know if there's anything to that. However, on even the slim chance that something like that might happen, I wouldn't want to risk leaving the roots alive.
