  • Yes

  • No

  • I'm treating my tank with it now.

That's awesome Steve! When did you dose? Looks like a big infestation...
It's an exciting time to be in the hobby and feeling thankful I didn't shut my tank down due to this unsightly crap.

I apologize if this has been asked and answered already, but I don't have the time to read through the entire thread. Has anyone used fluconazole in a tank with coral banded shrimp or bubble tip anemones? I would like to give fluconazole a try to get rid of my bryposis infestation but don't want to harm either of these two animals.

Thanks,

Bruce

I think @MartyF has some anemones in his tank but I'm not sure. Let him chime in and see if he does.

Monday after work. This couldn't have come at a better time for me. So ready to move out of this system!

So now we are at day 8 of the treatment and all but the last few stubborn stalks are gone. As best I can tell there is only one remaining green stalk but it's definitely turning white as well. So while I was hoping today would be the day that I would find a clean frag plug,it appears that it may be another day(possibly two). Either way,I'm happy with it! :)

Day 8 of treatment...

Just to make sure I understand this correctly, you did just one dose 8 days ago.

I have 3 different types of shrimp in my 70g. Just dosed today but so far none of them have been affected by fluconazole. One of the shrimp is a coral banded. So far everything in my tanks are just fine.

The only reason I call it day 12345678 of treatment each day is because I haven't done any water changes and I haven't started my carbon reactor back up yet.

Great! thanks for letting me know. I didn't want to have to try and catch the shrimp unless it was necessary.

It seems to be a prescription medication only in Australia.... Sigh, now to convince my GP I need bulk thrush medication

Do you have a local Vet? I would think a Vet would be more willing if you indicate it's for your fish. My previous Vet had fish and ordered me fish meds without an issue.
