Yup. The floaties have already started. I turned the skimmer on but I don't have filter socks. I am really enjoying watchimg it die. [emoji3]

I guess it would be quicker to just brush it all off the rocks since it's dying and letting go but that would take the joy out of just sitting back and watching it's futile attempt of trying to hold on. :)

Nice work! A quick bryopsis kill has been unheard of in this hobby. Well done :)
I believe Vibrant contributed to the rapid dying of bryopsis in my tank. I was aggressive with Vibrant for 2 months. It eliminated all other algae quickly. In my opinion, Vibrant weakened the bryopsis so that the flucanozal attacked the bryopsis faster than others have experienced. I dosed 3 days ago, in the evening, and after 72 hrs the bryopsis is now disintegrating.

Awesome, that's great to hear! The two together could clean up a lot of tanks from multiple problem algaes :)

Thank you. Although this was not my find,I have been amazed at how things are turning out. For everyone who has tried this their tanks were Bryopsis free(at least by sight anyway) in a matter of a couple of weeks or less. Some research will be done to see if the roots are dead as well. None have reported any Bryopsis return even after 4 months.

I tried using Vibrant for a couple of months but it just didn't work out for my system. My tank kept a terrible covering of dino/diatom/cyano nastiness the entire time. It may have just been from the Vibrant lowering my nitrates but not my phosphates and getting the chemistry out of whack or it could have been that my system just didn't agree with the new bacteria/sugar/secret sauce that is in it. Either way I just couldn't keep dosing it hoping for the best while my corals were being covered. With all this said,I know a lot of people have had success using Vibrant and you've been a stand up guy staying on the forum and answering questions for everyone.

Thank you very much for the kind words :) Right now we are very much considering changing the dosing instructions to a more slow and steady dosing regiment so it is not such a shock to people's systems in regards to nutrients being released and drops in No3. Obviously it will take longer to rid problem algaes but it should be easier on people's systems as their tanks will have time to slowly adjust to the changes.

That's sounds good. If you're willing to reconsider the dosing regimen,I'm willing to stop recommending that people dump Vibrant down the drain if they are having the same issues that I've had while using it. (okay so I've only told one person that) :D

A huge THANK YOU for posting this! A few years ago Bryopsis came very close to ending my love for my reef tank. This is a real game changer! Thanks again!

My pictures are always blurry and I'm sure that I forget to include everything in my posts but hopefully this will be an end to an evil algae that has been such a pain to deal with for so long. I hope this helps you and anyone else who may be dealing with Bryopsis.

I think this and Vibrant are 2 of the biggest breakthroughs in reefing for 2016/2017. Just great stuff and so happy to have found this !

You and me both. I used Vibrant and now this and I cannot believe the difference in my tank. Vibrant removed all other algae while the bryopsis stayed on in a weakened state. Add the fluco to remove the bryopsis and algae gone. The only unknown is the long term effect. So far, I am very happy with the combination.

Cool. Dose on day one and wait for it to die. 250 gallons that's 5000mg

Yep that's it. I think some people have split their doses up but I didn't notice any adverse reactions to dosing all at once.

My tanks are typically at zero NO3. I dosed KNO3 to raise my NO3 to 4ppm in my 9 gallon nano and my 45 gallon to 1ppm. I waited 1 hour after dosing the KNO3 to retest to confirm the levels of NO3. Right after that I dosed the normal 1ml/10 gallons of Vibrant. I tested NO3 levels over the next 3 days. The NO3 levels dropped to 3ppm in my nano and 0.5ppm in my 45 gallon. The Vibrant didn't chew up NO3 as I expected.
