lol

Also everyone remember that I haven't brushed, picked or touched this Bryopsis at all. I just let the Fluconazole do it's thing. The other couple of areas that were in the back are down to just a couple of small white pieces as well.

Can we really say that we don't have to worry about Bryopsis anymore? I don't know but it sure sounds good to me. :)

That is impressive effects on the bryopsis!!

I only wonder about the follow up. If it grows back from the roots and if another treatment is warranted say.. cont for 7 or 10 days after all the greens have gone away.....
What are your plans?
Keep us updated.

There are some who have been Bryopsis free for 4 months now after the treatment so hopefully Fluconazole is killing the roots as well. If Flucon kills the roots, then Bryopsis won't return without it being reintroduced into our tanks.Only time and more research will tell if this is the case. I plan on doing a water change and running my GAC reactor after the 2 week mark and then I'll just keep an eye on everything to see if the Bryopsis returns.

Got it. I placed an order for fluco and will be treating as soon as it gets here. Guess I'll let you know if it affect mangroves.

There is someone who is starting this treatment this week that has some different macros but I'm not sure if he's growing any mangroves. Honestly the only thing that I've seen or even read about it killing is Bryopsis. It's still a new test so there isn't a lot of info on it yet. But we're working on it.

As of now it seems to only have an effect on Bryopsis.
Yes, so far for me after 4 days it only has an effect on Bryopsis in my tank. This is so interesting and I can't wait to hear twillard's findings. Why does it ONLY effect Bryopsis? Makes no sense to me and I don't know if I would believe the effectiveness if I hadn't witnessed it with my own eyes

Im beyond curious as to why this med only effects the byropsis,,its a good thing if does ...curious to know if you are testing Nitrite and Ammonia ? just to see if it is effecting anything outside the normal with established bacteria/bio in a reef tank

Only slight changes took place in my tanks params.Slightly lowered PH,slightly raised nitrates and phosphates. All of the changes were more than likely due to 5 days of not skimming while still feeding the fish. No huge swings in anything.(other than the health to death of the Bryopsis of course) :)

Any dosing recommendation for a 50g display (30g sump) with a pretty decent amount of bryo?

Edit: Just went back and reread the first post (always a good idea), and found your calculations. Just ordered 30 capsules. Excited to try this in conjunction with the Vibrant treatment.

I hope it destroys every bit of Bryopsis that you have. I think it's about time that we get to enjoy our tanks and not spend time pulling out this evil algae.
