Ok no problem, do you know anyone else that may be able to calculate the dosage while you’re on holiday for me ?
Do you suggest just keeping to the 0.3ml per 2l of water and ttm for now and not bother with dosing the QT until I can get a dosage recommendation?
Yes - I’d continue as you have been, at least you know the dose won’t be fatal.

I’m not good at calculating doses where the active ingredient is a percentage of what the normal dose is - like in your case, but also with things like pills that are say, 67% active ingredients. Before I retired, one of my employees would calculate these for me(grin).

@threebuoys is pretty good at math, maybe he can weigh in?

No - don’t use Humblefish’s dosing, he is figuring 100% formalin, which is 37% formaldehyde gas in water. He also has published some doses that are much higher than what is considered a safe dose.

Assuming that indeed, your product is 30% formaldehyde, that is a little more than 75% as strong as regular formalin.

Sorry, I’m out camping for the weekend and don’t have a calculator and my reference books with me in order to calculate a dose for you.
Ok so im convinced my product is 30% Formaldehyde and not 30% formalin as ive found the same company make 2 different products.
The one i have which is : https://kockneykoi.co.uk/store/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=103
and the ingredients list 30% formalin
The dose is = Use 10ml per 682lt

And ive found this other product : https://kockneykoi.co.uk/products/medicines-and-water-treatments/formalin.php
Which states ingredients formaldehyde 36% Methanol
and the dose is 10ml per 1000 Litres

So im guessing my "formalin" is quite a bit weaker than the 37% formaldehyde everyone seems to use.
