this is taken with Heather's phone. A legit pic.

@LadyMac I blame you. You are a horrible influence. Just horrible. ;)

Ok. I’ll have to do some reading to see how that happens. Is this still a concern with small rimless tanks?

Do you have a tank on a "flat" surface with no padding?
There is not a definitive yes that says all tanks will crack but they should always have one in my opinion, if it is for a new tank then use a mat?!

Yoga mat, cut to fit under the tank. Always, always, ALWAYS use one on a rimless tank. No matter the size.

MIne is sitting on a 1/2" rubber stall mat. I just can't get our old LFS display tank out on my mind. They had styrofoam under theirs, but most of the weight was at the back of the tank. Over a couple of year's time, the tank ended up leaning backward as it sunk into the styrofoam. Very noticeable too. So when I saw SPSPirate use the stall mat from Farm Supply on his 150, that is what I went with as well.

Interesting outcome, I guess it's something to think about then when setting a tank up to begin with is how well evenly distributed the weight is. Different materials will certainly handle uneven weight better than styrofoam will.

I do know that using anything other than styrofoam under Miracles tanks will immediately void the warranty so there must be something to it I'm missing...
