Here's what I have in my head for the new tank scape. Andrew and I have been tossing thoughts around. My rock set up as it is now in the back center. A few islands in a lagoon semicircle pattern coming forward? I wouldn't mind incorporating some tonga as well.

@najer I'm worried the leopard and Andrew's future Mandy in the 93 will be too much pod demand. Is your leopard exclusively a pod eater?

Currently yes but it does take flake and frozen, I hope it stays that way so it is pest control if needed. ;)
My mandarin takes pellet as well.

Hmmm. If I add the leopard as a baby later, do you think it would be ok with a Tang and Angel? I don't think they'd view it as competition.

Exactly, I know I do impulse buy a bit but I do think about what it eats and where it might not fit with certain fish, you get a feel for it I guess.
This little guy is a month or two away from going in the twins, the venustus will be gone and hopefully the tangs will have settled. ;)

I don't witness the same linear swimming patterns on all tangs. The purple in particular. Maybe because they live singularly? I'm not sure. I just notice differences.

My black leopard was strictly pod for about 3 months. She still hunts all day, but has taken frozen for a year now.

Did you catch that butterfly
I slept...

Water change today, I think I have enough water mixed to drain the tank and catch that butterfly and the melanarus. Need to do some deep cleaning anyway.

But yea, I saw it over my trachy last night head first pecking at the top of it. "Butters" has gotta go.

I want a sand sleeper, goby or jaw fish but I only have about 1.5" of sand and don't feel like adding more, not to mention sand covering my lps
Get one of the smaller gobies. Hi fin, yasha... they dont disturb much and 1.5" sand is enough. Jawfish need a lot more IMO. The sand sifting gobies are more likely to cover corals also. Shrimp gobies usually only disturb the sand near the entrance of their den.
