I use a string or fish line to see flow. It helps
Some reef roids or any small particles in the water column are what works for me to get the visual representation. Lets you see everything, and how fast or slow it’s moving. But don’t feel like it’s supposed to be easy...if I had a dollar for every time I made a tiny adjustment to my flow trying to find the right combination, I would have paid someone to do it and then bought a car!

So I’m thinking of moving the left powerhead back to the back wall to hide it and bring an under flow. Given my rock scape what’s y’all’s thoughts on that? Bring the right one down some too. I suck at figuring out flow in tanks. I pulled some hair algae out. And added the felt sock again. I have to do running today so can’t do my waterchanges. Can do that tomorrow though. I think the phosphates or nitrates are high, would explain the euphilia being so upset and the hair algae and cyano.

I like moving the power head up slightly, and try aiming it upwards to really break up the water surface. This will help with gas exchange and get your corals out of direct flow, the softer corals don’t need as much.

I do that with my return from the canister. The others are for dead spots.

I use it every other day. In a VERY small dose. (3-4ml for my 28g). It is potent and lowers O2 levels. The recommended dose is no beuno in my opinion, it has you dumping a lot in all at once. I dose much less more frequently, to get a decent amount in the tank on a weekly basis but without ever making my corals and fish stressed.

So in a 75 full of corals half the dose 4 times a week?

Surface agitation is pretty good and the flow seems ok. But I think its my return pump it’s an el cheapo, does the job to a degree. But It seems things pass the weir and just flow about until it ends up stuck on the rocks. I’ve tried to open the valve of the drain but that makes it noisy. It’s set where they say it should be, right below the emergency drain. I dunno maybe it’s my scape or just not matured enough to be balanced.

I hate when I need to concentrate, yes change the return pump, those 2 nozzles give you so much scope for tuning the flow make the flows collide, I have a twin lockline return and flat nozzles in my 13.5 G, no pwer heads, try aiming a nozzle across you powerhead / wave maker flow, do things one step at a time and give it at least half an hour between changes.

Yes they are. We gave away the farm for trubisky. Because he drove an old beat up car

It’s a wash at this point in time
Cam can run it and throw it, Trubisky is iffy on both fronts there.
I mean if y'all had healthy Cam the Bears would've won 2 more games easily.
