I believe rock absorb a lot till it reaches an equilibrium.I read some fancy words about my Goni “continuously filtering phytoplankton out of the water column” and yea. Bought some Phyto Feast.
@Reef Nutrition, I laughed so hard when you said it was Coca Cola you were drinking! But well done, it sold me
Not sure what’s actually happening in my tank, but I know that it stays CLEAN, my nutrient levels stay really low (.03 phosphates and undetectable nitrates last time I checked) and my algae barely grows at all. Started the tank in early February and still have minimal coralline. If it’s not live phytoplankton consuming those nutrients...what is? I feed 2-3x a day for my corals, and twice a day for fish.
@najer my good sir, the only conclusion i can make is that the stuff works!
No enjoyed it. Learned a lot and you have a great product.I'm going to bow out of the thread now. It's been great chatting with everyone. If anyone wants to talk in more detail, please start a private conversation with me. Thanks for everyone's time. Sorry for all the phyto talk. LOL
I'm not saying it's aliens....buuut...cant see them but your drawing may be cluster dusters
In my best Katrina country accent - “Cheers y’all!!”I think we should all have a cocktail.
Cheers to the phytomosa! Splash of oj, pineapple, and Phyto! Maybe it will consume all the nutrients I drink tonightPhyto vodka martini Or a phytomosa?
I barely have any porous rock though, but I agree. Things are going suspiciously well!I believe rock absorb a lot till it reaches an equilibrium.
Rock is porous some are more than others.I barely have any porous rock though, but I agree. Things are going suspiciously well!
This might be the most important. I just picked up a used Biocube 8 to use a coral quarantine and I really underestimated the evaporation. Salinity went from 1.026 to 1.032 in less than 24 hours. Luckily it’s just cycling. You may want to consider an auto top off unit. It mat seem silly for a tiny tank but evaporation can cause swings in your salinity. It's important to keep the environment stable.
Find some build threads for nano tanks and you can see what other people have done.
Hoping for a quick and full recovery. My mom just got out of surgery. She had her lungs suctioned out. She is doing well. She hasn't eaten in 5 days and could barely breathe.
