I ALWAYS have at least 2 packs of LRS on hand. I've made my own before, but this is so much better, and has ingredients I can not source...

The lfs within a couple 1hr refuse to carry it. They say they carry rods and that's all we are going to stock. To get lrs I have to drive 1 1/2 to the closest lrs. That owner is a major jerk. I don't support that store. Everything else is further away than that. Diy is my best option
Y'all are the sneakiest group in history! I can't even wrap my head around this yet. I don't feel deserving of this at all! And how much did y'all drink when you decided to do it??????? Lol.
You do that's the point.

Ugh, that's poop... I've tried a sample of rods. I didnt have a problem with it, but just prefer LRS. More personable brand, Rods just seems more disconnected. Plus, I have 3 LFS within an hours drive that stock it. The closest one just got it in this year, I was driving 35-40 minutes to get it.

DIY is perfectly fine. Fresh sea food, nori and some selcon and acropower in there for some vitamins and aminos. Plus, you can customize it for your fish and their tastes.

Merry Christmas @sfin52

It's all good. Fresh clams, shrimp, flounder, oysters, fish eggs, freeze dried plankton and brine and vitamin and minerals.
The fish love it.

Merry Christmas @Robin Haselden

I forget which online vendor it is but one of them now overnights frozen food including LRS I believe..

I got a pH probe for my Apex finally.
My pH is 7.83

I can't wait until I go to a automated system. It'll be a while
@JoshH
Look what I got last night

I may have to buy one of these. I'm getting tired of looking thru a refractor. What is the report on these? Are they fairly accurate?

I've had it 14 hrs and I love it LOL
Checked salinity in my brute can, office tank and living room tank within 2 minutes.
They all match my refractometer readings.
There are some threads on R2R about these, they tend to be as accurate as the green milwaukee that is twice the price.
One drawback is calibration solution which users recommend calibrating once a month.
It comes calibrated and with extra 4 packs of fluid so you're good to go out of the box for 5 months.
The solution is $1.05 per packet or $26 for a 25 pack.
