Alright, both calc and alk have been dosed. No one seems phased.
I guess I’m in the clear?

Perfectly said, also could add with price and ease of use is what makes the ESV b-ionic 2 part so popular.@Magellan You are absolutely right that ca and Alk will delpete each other when dosed separately. I used to know an really good way of explaining it but I'd have to search it again. Just know that it's true.
Corals also use Ca and alk in perfect balance. One of each, no more no less(yes I just tired in Star Wars to reefing). When doing, you want to use equal parts, as long as your 2 part is meant to be dosed in equal parts. Example, Red Sea pre mixed liquid in the bottle is balanced. Red Sea powder is not, the calcium is 3 times as strong as the alk.
I once dosed alk too fast, just dumped it in. corals just closed up for an hour or two, they were fineIf I overdosed alc I would have known by now right?

YesBut let’s say you dose 3kh at one time, you’ll know within 30 minutes that you messed up right?
I can only dose straight in the tank. He’s not lying! It was consistently within about a 300 pt range...
I put the part one in the left side of the sump, and a couple minutes later put part 2 in the right side. The way it’s divided, it can only mix inside the tank.
An increase of 3kH will have an immediate "oh crap" effect on your corals. But let’s say you dose 3kh at one time, you’ll know within 30 minutes that you messed up right?
R2R use search barAnyone know a site or thread on here with a lot of lps tank inspiration?
Stick heads seem to be the big thing right now... I'm sure theres some killer LPS tanks still lurking around here somewhere.Anyone know a site or thread on here with a lot of lps tank inspiration?

Show me a stick this pretty... I'll wait.I believe there is a clear correlation of a common insecure masculinity measure and the number of polyps your coral has.
Now correlation is not causation but I prefer my coral with 10 polyps or less.
