I don’t doubt this at all. The difference in treatment for lps vs sps is too much, mainly flow and light.
That’s why no wavemaker for me! I keep my sps right in the highest flow spots in the tank, but most of the rest of it is mild for the non sps. These pics are 1.5 months apart.

Well, i guess it’s time to move on and deal with my other tank’s ich and filter and gill fluke problem lol. Any ideas for a color of the male i should use for breeding? The female sort of looks like this but a female version. Not sure on its tail type.

Wow man! Those are huge!
The original frags. Purple hazy was looking rough! Got him super cheap lol...LFS thought I was the sucker. I’ve since mounted it at a different angle so it will grow from more places.

I just need a better routine. I say I'm going to stay on top of water changes, and then let them go longer than I should.
I never go longer than 2 weeks and try to get it done every 10 days. But I agree. I’ll look at the bucket, look at the tank, and go “nahh maybe tomorrow!”

Good luck sir! A freshwater plague is horrible...I remember going downstairs every morning wondering if I got to scoop another dead fish out. You can add fungus and fin rot to the list of what was going on in mine...I hope everything works out!
Keeping my fingers crossed.
