True. I keep forgetting how much more efficient they have become.
They are still more wattage for sure, just nowhere near the wattage of the iwaki Reeflo Panworld setups... it certainly depends on how the closed loop is setup I think as well...

I am going to use a reefflo on my mixing station.
We are going to mix 325 gallons in a batch more than likely. So the dart or larger is almost a necessity.
The two RP-M pumps on the back are 100% reef mode 24/7, just figured I'd give the fish a break to sleep. Why 10% at night? Seems that is when a lot of coral feed.
Probably helps the corals to feed as well, since the food isn’t getting blown out of their mouths. The two RP-M pumps on the back are 100% reef mode 24/7, just figured I'd give the fish a break to sleep.
I am trying to get some algae in my tank. I am thinking of seeding with some gha. I lost my first reef animal in this tank and I believe it is because it was too 'clean'. My emerald crab died 2 days after moulting(sp?).Ive got 4 spots of GHA in my tank right now. 4!!! Can you believe that...
Just go to petco and buy something. Anything will do.I am trying to get some algae in my tank. I am thinking of seeding with some gha. I lost my first reef animal in this tank and I believe it is because it was too 'clean'. My emerald crab died 2 days after moulting(sp?).
Lol! I don't think my local petco has saltwater and my 3 lfs's dont have any gha.Just go to petco and buy something. Anything will do.
Looks beautiful.Sooo, my betta finally arrived... all the way from a breeder in Indonesia. Hahaha, cant get Indo corals but I got an Indo betta. Shipped out of Indonesia to Texas on the 23rd, and shipped out of Texas on the 30th. Little guy been around the world in a week and a half. Paid out my nose for a betta, but I've never seen this color here or half the colors that breeder has.
Here's the vendor photos. It's still acclimating, the water was a little cool. It's a "Fancy copper" halfmoon plakat.
In the baggie...
Crabs frequently die during or right after a molt. Land hermits are the same.I am trying to get some algae in my tank. I am thinking of seeding with some gha. I lost my first reef animal in this tank and I believe it is because it was too 'clean'. My emerald crab died 2 days after moulting(sp?).
Agree! I think it’s a thing for anything that molts. My fire shrimp molted and disappeared a couple months ago. It’s a very stressful time for them. (It was almost certainly my fault, I had had a salinity swing a few days prior). Nothing too serious but it definitely stressed out the tank, and that little bit extra was too much for him.Crabs frequently die during or right after a molt. Land hermits are the same.
Spiders do as well. Molting is extremely stressful. A spider molts not just external but internal as well. I'm not sure if crabs are the sameAgree! I think it’s a thing for anything that molts.
