Just saw you're from Charlotte... I'm about an hour and a half out from Charlotte. Just north and east a little ways from Columbia up I20.
Before I was with her, my SO dated a particularly awful individual... when she broke up with him, he decided to pour bleach in her fish tank. Long story, cops were involved and she never went back to the apartment. Heard from the maintenance man who cleaned things up (about 2 months later) that even though over half the water was evaporated the Pleco was still alive and he fished it out and put it in a pond.Strong enough for this pond? I’m planning something diabolical.

from personal experience, our 65g fw got what I now refer to as “the plague”. We were stupid and lazy and put loaches from Petco in there...wasn’t 2 weeks later that ich and scale rot and fungus all happened at once. Lost the loaches, the bollas, purple sharks, and a couple of barbs. only thing that lived were a few lucky barbs, the upside down catfish, and the pleco. The fish that lived all showed signs of having survived the plague (ragged/missing fins, etc). The pleco was fine the entire time. Never so much as got a single spot of ich. It’s been almost 2 years now and he is fatter than ever!
No no no her ex did. And yes. He went to jail.I desperately need an angry emoji at this point.
I’m happy the fish is ok but that woman needs some serious mental health (did I read correctly that it was the gf that did it?)

Get in line lolGood, f that dude. I’d beat the living **** out of him.
I like looking at other tanks, when you see specific corals coexisting right next to each other it’s usually a good sign that you could make that work too. But start a zoa garden? LOTS of choices lol
@living_tribunal
Get a toadstool
I really despise zoas, I’m also not a big Euphyllia fan.
I don’t know why but I always just end up buying a lot of platers; chalices, echinatas, leptos, etc.
I have most all of the major pieces I wanted and in the colors as well but my rockscape is different and I’m trying to figure out how to make it work with a nice tapered blend and have it look organic.
The whole premise is a smooth transition into a heavily brainified bottom up into plate city, and then a solid combination of flowy lps and a handful of sps.
I like single colors that pop and strong saturated juxtaposition between them. I also want it heavily cluttered with decent openings through all of the archways and tunnels I created. I have a lot of open space for my fish which I’m happy with.
I just can’t find many tanks with the style I’m going for and I’m not entirely sure if I know what I’m going for quite yet.
I have basically 1 of every species at this point (except acanthophyllia and scolyoma, those will come later just want to make sure I’m ready before I make the big purchase).
I’ve got aquascape block :/

Tailspot BlennyTempted to get a third super small fish like a chromis or something.
Fly the flag. It's history, not hate!I’m from NC. Fun fact about me: for years before she died, my Great-Grandmother was the last true daughter of the confederacy left in North Carolina, and was one of only 3 left in the South at the time. I’m not a fan of Sherman either!
My ex was a peach as well. Put a shark in my ornamental goldfish tank. Some of the tails were 6". Came home to one survivor. He only had one eye when I found him. Horrible. I'm very sorry anyone else ever experienced this. Before I was with her, my SO dated a particularly awful individual... when she broke up with him, he decided to pour bleach in her fish tank. moral of the story: I am 10000% confident that a pleco can survive your pond!
