I'm struggling with coral ID. Chalices are all so different. Different textures and characteristics. We also saw different types of acans yesterday. Some looked more like a scoly.

Depends on the clam. I think you need a bigger one(or to not buy from DD) to have success. My squammy I recently got from DD died after less than a week. (╯︵╰,)Another thing. Clams. I saw a little guy and really was tempted. How difficult are they? What do they specifically like?
DD is a no go on clams. Nothing but bad reviews with clamsDepends on the clam. I think you need a bigger one(or to not buy from DD) to have success. My squammy I recently got from DD died after less than a week. (╯︵╰,)
I've heard good things about these Algae Barn clams, they come with feed, pods for their algae and a rock for them to grab and hold to.Another thing. Clams. I saw a little guy and really was tempted. How difficult are they? What do they specifically like?
Different species like to live in different areas. Maxima and Crocea really needs to be up on a rock where it can protect its bissal opening. Smaller clams are also heavily dependent on phyto and less so on photosynthesis for food.Another thing. Clams. I saw a little guy and really was tempted. How difficult are they? #1 killer of small clams: starvation
#1 killer of large clams that die mysteriously overnight: bristle worms.
Make sure your clam is on rock where it can protect its bissal opening.
How are all of the new corals looking today?I was awake twice already. This time I'm getting caffeine!
I saw some fireball babies yesterday that were about 3/4" long at most. Very cute!
Can't wait until they are commercially viable.

I'm glad he has friends! He wasn't getting showcased in my tank. Not enough room for him to really sprawl.@Katrina71
The little hammer got its first meal from my coris wrasse lol. Spaghetti worm it dropped. The coris see them, picks them up, never eats them, and always drops them by the euphilla garden for some reason. The corals don’t mind at all.
